Russell Cave National Monument

Russell Cave is an archeological site with one of the most complete records of prehistoric cultures in the Southeast. An interesting cave that extends 7 miles coupled with an easy trail makes this National Monument a good place to stretch your legs and learn about the past.

Information & Tips:
  • Currently no entry cost.
  • Even though the trails are short this is worth the stop to see Russell Cave.
  • You cannot enter the cave. Short boardwalk to an overlook is all they allow.
  • There is a visitor center to learn more about the Russell Cave and its history.
  • Nice picnic area to sit, relax and have lunch.
