State Parks

  • Algonac State Park – located in southeastern Michigan and covers an area of 1,500 acres. The park is situated along the St. Clair River and provides a variety of recreational activities including camping, hiking, fishing, and boating. Algonac State Park has a total of 300 campsites, including 30 full hookup sites, and 160 sites with electricity. The park also features a beach, picnic areas, and a boat launch.
  • Aloha State Park – located on the shore of Mullett Lake in northern Michigan. The park covers an area of 107 acres and offers a variety of recreational activities including camping, fishing, boating, and swimming. Aloha State Park has 285 campsites, including 200 sites with electricity, and six mini cabins. The park also features a beach, picnic areas, and a boat launch.
  • Baraga State Park – located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and covers an area of 56 acres. The park is situated along the shores of Keweenaw Bay and provides a variety of recreational activities including camping, hiking, fishing, and swimming. Baraga State Park has 115 campsites, including 85 sites with electricity, and three mini cabins. The park also features a beach, picnic areas, and a boat launch.
  • Bay City State Park – located on the shores of Saginaw Bay in eastern Michigan and covers an area of 2,800 acres. The park offers a variety of recreational activities including camping, hiking, fishing, and boating. Bay City State Park has 395 campsites, including 193 sites with electricity, and two mini cabins. The park also features a beach, picnic areas, a boat launch, and a nature center.
  • Belle Isle Park – located in Detroit, Michigan and covers an area of 982 acres. The park is situated on an island in the Detroit River and provides a variety of recreational activities including hiking, fishing, and swimming. Belle Isle Park also features a conservatory, a golf course, a casino, and a maritime museum.
  • Bewabic State Park – located in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan and covers an area of 315 acres. The park is situated on the shore of Fortune Lake and provides a variety of recreational activities including camping, hiking, fishing, and swimming. Bewabic State Park has 129 campsites, including 96 sites with electricity, and four mini cabins. The park also features a beach, picnic areas, and a boat launch.
  • Brimley State Park – located in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan and covers an area of 151 acres. The park is situated on the shore of Whitefish Bay and provides a variety of recreational activities including camping, hiking, fishing, and swimming. Brimley State Park has 237 campsites, including 181 sites with electricity, and eight mini cabins. The park also features a beach, picnic areas, and a boat launch.
  • Burt Lake State Park – located in northern Michigan and covers an area of 406 acres. The park is situated on the shore of Burt Lake and provides a variety of recreational activities including camping, hiking, fishing, and swimming. Burt Lake State Park has 306 campsites, including 192 sites with electricity, and nine mini cabins. The park also features a beach, picnic areas, and a boat launch.
  • Cambridge Junction Historic State Park – a small park that offers visitors a glimpse into the history of the state’s railroad industry. The park is home to the restored Michigan Central Railroad Jackson Depot, which was built in 1873 and served as a vital transportation hub for the region.   • Wilderness State Park – a large state park located in the northern part of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. There are over 250 campsites, miles of hiking trails, and two separate beaches for visitors to enjoy.
  • William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor – located in the heart of downtown Detroit, and is the only state park in the city. Visitors can enjoy fishing, picnicking, and strolling along the riverfront. The park also offers a marina for boaters to dock their boats and explore the city.
  • Wilson State Park – a small state park located on Budd Lake in the central part of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. The park offers visitors opportunities for fishing, swimming, boating, and camping. There are over 160 campsites and a picnic area for visitors to enjoy.
  • Young State Park – located on the eastern shore of Lake Charlevoix in northern Michigan. The park offers visitors opportunities for camping, swimming, boating, and hiking. There are over 240 campsites, three separate beaches, and 6 miles of hiking trails for visitors to enjoy.
