We got lunch from Java Road Espresso Bar and Cafe, Fayetteville, TN. This place has so many delicious flavors of lattes, baked goods and freshly made gourmet sandwiches. I highly recommend their blueberry coffee cake and apple cinnamon scone.

Short Springs Natural Area, Tullahoma, TN. We hiked a loop of Machine Falls Trail to Adams Loop to Busby Falls Trail for a total of about 2.5 miles and approximately 300’ elevation). There were tons wild spring flowers along the river and Machine Falls was spectacular.

Then we drove another 1.5 hours to Best Western Thunderbird Motel, Cookeville, TN. I think it might have the best name of any hotel we’ve stayed at so far.

Price: $106/night
