Saunders Springs Nature Preserve, Radcliff, KY. A quick stop to stretch our legs at this city park. There are lots of bike trails and a bike skills park as well as a few nature walks.

Forest Giants in a Giant Forest, Bernheim Arboretum & Research Forest, Fox Chase, KY. Suggested donation $15/car. 16, 000 acres, 40 miles of walking trails and 3 giants. We walked through the Edible Garden (which the bees loved) where they grow some of the vegetables they use in their cafe, visited all 3 giants and the canopy walk, which is just an overlook.

Graeter’s Ice Cream, Lexington, KY. Chris got the 2 special flavors of the month, Boldly Bearcat (marscarpone, Oreo cookies and their signature chocolate chips) and midnight snack (malt flavored ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels, brownies and pb cups and I enjoyed the toffee chip, black raspberry chip they’re known for and buckeye. The 2 guys working there were so nice which made the experience even better.
