Day 141: A Day At The Harness Races
We’re surrounded by rolling hills and lush farmland, birds are singing and the sun is shining. Today we’re visiting a friend of ours, a professional harness trainer and driver, to about how these horses train and spending the evening with him racing his horses.

Day 140: America’s Hometown
Today we’re in Cooperstown, NY to visit a friend. We walked through town, got sandwiches and sat at a park along Otsego Lake and caught up. Cooperstown has small-town charm, breweries, bakeries, art and the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum.

Day 139: Traversing A National Landmark Boulder Field
Designated a National Natural Landmark. To us, it looked like a strange lake of boulders in the middle of the forest, something we’ve never experienced anywhere else.

Day 138: Touring Harpers Ferry
We parked at the main park entrance visitor’s center and took a bus into lower town, about 1.6 miles away. The park ranger suggested a 2 mile loop to us that took us through the historic town and onto a portion on the AT.

Day 137: Exploring One Of America’s BEST Drives
The Skyline Drive has been such a beautiful, peaceful, inspiring drive. Each trail has had a slightly different feel, each section of the drive has had different wildflowers mixed in along the road. This is our first visit to the Shenandoahs and we’re already planning to come back.

Day 135: Rock Hopping On Green River
This is one of our favorite spots to be, to sit and appreciate where we are, on the huge boulders, along a rushing river, surrounded by mountains and lush greenery.

Day 134: Looking For A Hidden Waterfall
It’s a beautiful walk to the first waterfall along a mountain stream, rhododendrons blooming along the trail, bright green moss covered trees and rocks to a 60’ cascading waterfall surrounded by tall cliffs and lush forest. Then we started to climb…
